Blizzard Ent.'s WORLD OF WARCRAFT: WRATH OF THE LICH KING, the second expansion for its award-winning subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), will arrive in stores on November 13 in North America, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia, and November 14 in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Will Smith may be headed for ancient Egypt in his next role. Randall Wallace (BRAVEHEART) has been hired to write THE LAST PHARAOH for Columbia, a drama created as a star vehicle for Smith to play Taharqa, the pharaoh who battled Assyrian invaders in 677 B.C., per VARIETY.
Smith, James Lasister and Ken Stovitz will produce for Overbrook Ent. Smith brought Wallace the story, having long wanted to play the Egyptian leader. The film will focus on Taharqa's battles with the Assyrian leader Esarhaddon.

Universal Pictures International Ent. will release THE INCREDIBLE HULK on DVD and Blu-ray on October 13, marking the studio's first international day-and-date wide debut of a Blu-ray new release feature film.
The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.S. on October 21.
From Marvel Studios, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, starring Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler has earned $250 million in worldwide box office. Bonus features on the Blu-ray will include the U-Control application and interactive features via BD-Live.
IMAX industry veteran Patricia Brandino has joined 3D Entertainment Distribution in the newly created position of VP, Film Sales. Effective September 7, Brandino will be responsible for theatrical sales of the company's current and future film catalogue in North America, including Jean-Michel Cousteau's DOLPHINS AND WHALES 3D released domestically at IMAX 3-D theatres earlier this year. She will report directly to Francois Mantello, the chairman of 3D Entertainment and its distribution unit.

Columbia Pictures has purchased the screen rights to MAXIMUM RIDE, and has hired Don Payne to write the script, per VARIETY.
RIDE is a young adult novel series from James Patterson, featuring six children who have been genetically altered to be 98 percent human, 2 percent bird. The kids, bred to fly, escape their lab-rat existence and are pursued by their scientist creators, who send a pack of part-human, part-wolf creatures called Erasers to track them down.
The fifth installment of the book series will be published in 2009.
