New Chitse Airport Interational Animation Festival 2015

Call for Entries!  - Animated Short Film Competition
Deadline: June 30th, 2015

In autumn 2015, "New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2015" will be held inside the terminal building of New Chitose Airport, the gateway of Hokkaido to the world and also well known as an entertainment airport.

  Grand Prix with 1million JPY
  New Talent Award with 300,000 JPY
  Best Music Animation with 200,000JPY

From 18th April, we opened the submission of the entries for the competition for the second edition of the festival. For this edition, along with the International Competition, we add another new competition programs: "Music Animation Competition". This competition features animation expression in music video. The award winner will receive 200,000yen as a prize money. The submission closes on June 30th. We'll wait your submissions.

Call: Tricky Women International Animation Filmfestival 2016

Begins: March 2, 2016

Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women filmmakers. Since 2001 it has been held in Vienna each March.

 

  • Awards:

Tricky Women Award of the City of Vienna worth 4000 Euro

3-month scholarship to live and work at quartier21/MQ under the Artist-in-Residence Program

Sawczynski-Award worth 1,000 Euro

Sielecki Award worth 500 Euro (for an Austrian animation)

Tricky Women Audience Award

Awards and prize money will go to the directresses of the films.

 

  • The festival offers an international competition of animated short films finished after January 1st, 2014 and realised by female artists (male co-directors are welcome). We want to open the festival to trans*inter* filmmakers and would be delighted to receive your entries. Each filmmaker, producer or distributor may submit as many films as they like. Each film submitted must be accompanied by an entry form and sent on a separate DVD. No films entered in prior Tricky Women Festivals shall be admitted.

 

  • The deadline for applications for the preliminary selection is October 10th, 2015.

 

  • Moreover, we welcome shorts entitled “work” (working conditions in the digital era, work-life-balance, desired workplaces, ...) and Animated Feature Films for our non-competitive sections; these films can also have been produced earlier than 2014.
