Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Coming to Netflix May 21

With his ‘Justice League Snyder Cut’ finally arriving next month on HBO Max, the illustrious DCEU director returns to zombie mayhem with a group of mercenaries attempting the largest heist ever.

Netflix has just dropped the official poster, a few new pics, and a release date for Zack Snyder’s upcoming zombie adventure, Army of the Dead.  With his Justice League Snyder Cut arriving next month on HBO Max, the DECU director jumps over to Netflix, returning to the zombie genre with his new Squad on May 21.

The story is simple: “Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries takes the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.” Here’s guessing greenbacks will still buy you more than a chai latte in a world overrun with zombies.

Netflix is so bullish on the film that a prequel and anime series are already in development.

Army of Darkness features an all-star international cast led by Dave Bautista, Ana de la Reguera, Tig Notaro, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, and Samantha Win and is produced by The Stone Quarry’s Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Wesley Coller.
