Puppetworks Shares ‘Apex Kill Code – Part 2’ Cinematic Trailer

Studio oversees conceptualization, asset creation, technical animation, and FX in collaboration with Psyop, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts; the 4+ minute short scores 5M+ views since its release. 

Puppetworks Studios has partnered with Psyop, Respawn Entertainment, and Electronic Arts to release Apex Legends: Resurrection Launch Trailer | Kill Code - Part 2, the next installment of the popular story cinematic trailer associated with the game. This coincides with the release of the latest game update which introduces a completely reworked Revenant.

In “Kill Code: Part 2,” Lifeline, Maggie, and Loba journey to Salvo to investigate a mysterious lead surrounding Duardo Silva. Crypto hacks into a discarded fragment of Revenant to investigate some disturbing changes. Revenant is losing control of himself – but to who?

Working with Psyop directors Jack Anderson and Liam Griffin, Puppetworks focused on Revenant, highlighting his new look and abilities while simultaneously revealing his internal chaos from a unique POV perspective. The studio played a pivotal role in the project, overseeing the conceptualization, asset creation, technical animation, FX, simulations, lighting, comp, and shot work.

According to Puppetworks, the trailer’s reception has been overwhelmingly positive, scoring over five million views since its release.
