Ghost VFX Appoints Julian Levi EVP North America

The overall production VFX producer on Oscar-nominee/VES Award-winner ‘The Creator’ brings his 30 years of experience to new role overseeing studio’s talent, technology, and services. 

Ghost VFX has expanded the studio’s executive leadership team with the appointment of Julian Levi as executive vice president North America. Based in Los Angeles, Levi will oversee talent, technology, and services offered by the studio while working closely with members of the executive team, including collaborations with Ingenuity Studios.

Boasting a 30-year career, Levi has worked with many notable directors, including Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood, Roland Emmerich, Gareth Edwards, and Joel and Ethan Coen. His experience includes work on feature films, including early involvement on Braveheart and The Last Action Hero while at R/Greenberg Associates. During his 12-year tenure as senior VFX producer at Digital Domain, he contributed to films such as O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Day After Tomorrow, Stealth, Speed Racer, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Flags of Our Fathers. Levi then served as a general manager and executive producer at MPC, working on films such as Godzilla, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus, Life of Pi, The Jungle Book, and Guardians of the Galaxy. After his stint at MPC, Paramount Pictures appointed Levi as interim vice president of VFX. Most recently, he served as overall production VFX producer for Oscar-nominee and VES Award-winner The Creator at New Regency Productions.
