Streamland Media Merges VFX Businesses to Form Ghost VFX

The integrated visual effects division is part of a global expansion of end-to-end post-production service offerings.

Streamland Media has announced that as part of its ongoing expansion of global customer offerings, it is integrating its Picture Shop visual effects division, and all other VFX business under one brand, Ghost VFX. Picture Shop acquired Ghost VFX in January 2020.

“The integration of Picture Shop VFX under the Ghost VFX brand will further solidify the industry-leading position of our entertainment vertical, especially the overall growth potential of our brands and their ability to provide end-to-end post-production service offerings on a global level,” commented Streamland Media CEO, Bill Romeo.

Ghost VFX is known for its innovative visual effects; combined, both brands have over one hundred VFX contributions to feature films, top television shows and interactive media. They also boast a roster of award-winning talent. Tom Kendall, who headed Picture Shop VFX, will assume the role GHOST VFX president worldwide based out of the new Los Angeles headquarters. Ghost co-founder and EVP, Jeppe Nygaard Christensen and SVP, Phillip Prahl will remain an integral part of the brand based in Copenhagen.

“I’m very excited about combining both teams as it strengthens our award-winning VFX services worldwide while concentrating our growing team of talent and expertise under one global brand,” added Kendall. “With strategic focus on the customer experience, we are confident that Ghost VFX will continue to be a partner of choice for leading storytellers around the world.”
