In this two-part interview, Aardman Animations’ co-founder and executive chairman, David Sproxton, discusses the studio’s 40-year history creating a prolific slate of funny and immensely popular animated films, TV series, shorts and commercials, the challenges and potential rewards for good animation storytellers, where Aardman fits in today’s animation business landscape and what types of opportunities exist for smaller independent animation producers.

David also talks about Aardman’s plans for creating entertainment content in virtual reality as well as the role of colleges and training programs in preparing young professionals for jobs in the animation industry.
