Brooke Keesling, Jorge Gutierrez to Host Academy’s Virtual ‘Art of Animation’ Workshop

July 6 family-friendly online event includes special guests Pete Docter, Kendal Cronkhite-Shaindlin, Peter Ramsey, Pierre Coffin and Hyun-min Lee.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just announced a July 6 family-friendly virtual workshop with some of the animation industry's top artists, directors and collaborators. Participants will learn about a few styles of animation as well as the art of storyboarding, how to make a flipbook, creating characters, music, production design, voice acting and more.

The event is being hosted by animator Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life) and Brooke Keesling (Head of Animation Talent Development for Bento Box Entertainment and Student Academy Award winner); you’ll never meet two more friendly, engaging, energetic and knowledgeable people in our industry, and they're sure to make this a truly enjoyable event.
