Marvel Taps Terry Matalas as Showrunner for ‘Vision’ Series

The untitled ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, which will star ‘Avengers’ franchise actor Paul Bettany, is set for a 2026 release.

Producer Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) has been tapped as showrunner for Marvel’s upcoming untitled WandaVision spinoff series, which will center on the Avengers character Vision, according to Variety. Franchise star Paul Bettany will return to reprise the iconic role.

The project was previously announced as a series in development with WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer, which would follow the S.W.O.R.D. agency-created White Vision as he attempts to regain his memory and humanity.

It was also teased that Vision’s “wife” Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, may appear despite her supposed demise in Doctor Strange 2, although this may now occur in the other upcoming spinoff, Agatha All Along.

The untitled ‘Vision’ series is set for a 2026 release. Agatha All Along hits Disney+ September 18.
