Warner Bros. Discovery reveals HBO Max rebrand and the release date for its highly anticipated 3DCG animated prequel series starring Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong and Matthew Rhys, coming next month.
To celebrate the home entertainment release, special New York screenings of William Cameron Menzies’ 1953 sci-fi classic will be held January 14 and January 18 at MoMA and at the Bedford Playhouse Clive Davis Arts Center January 15.
Before heading to HBO Max, new animated series, a prequel to the famed 1984 movie, will debut at the festival, followed by a Q&A with director Joe Dante and EPs Tze Chun and Brendan Hay.
