Casino heist flick OCEANS ELEVEN, with visual effects by E=mc2 and Cinesite, ran a close second earning $23M for a two-week cume of $73.3M. HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERERS STONE, with visual effects by Sony Pictures Imageworks and Rhythm & Hues, fell two spots to fourth, with $9.9M for the weekend and $253.3M to date. Rescue drama BEHIND ENEMY LINES, with visual effects by Reality Check Studios and OCS/Freeze Frame/Pixel Magic, took in $5.5M for a gross of $38.9M to date. MONSTERS, INC. is still doing well, grossing a little over $5M this weekend for $218.9M total to date. Action thriller SPY GAME, with visual effects by Cinesite, dropped off another two spots to seventh, earning $2.4M for $57.7M to date. SHALLOW HAL, with visual effects by Alterian Studios and Artist's Asylum Inc., was in ninth place with $1.4M for a total gross of $66.9M. Rounding out the top ten with $750,000 for the weekend is the French import AMELIE, with visual effects by Duboi. In limited release, the romantic comedy has earned $12.5M in seven weeks. Look for LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING to take over the top spot next week.
