TBS Shares Exclusive ‘American Dad!: Productive Panic’ Clip

In the all-new episode airing Monday, September 25, Francine becomes an overnight sensation when a famous art dealer discovers her homemade pottery.

Our friends at TBS have shared another exclusive clip (and images!) with AWN to remind us just how funny their hugely popular animated comedy American Dad! is. Mark your calendar for today, Monday, September 25 at 10:00 pm ET/PT for an all-new episode. If you miss the airing - remember episodes stream the next day on Hulu!

In Monday’s episode, “Productive Panic,” Francine becomes an overnight sensation when a famous art dealer discovers her homemade pottery. Think imposter syndrome, only with clay.

Created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, the animated comedy centers on super patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, VA. Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life, where Stan’s blissfully unaware wife, Francine (Wendy Schaal), has an unfaltering loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. His left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), however, doesn’t let him off so easily and knows just how to push her father’s buttons, unlike her dopey, well-intentioned husband Jeff (Jeff Fischer) who doesn’t know much of anything. Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is a geeky-yet-confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing about the opposite sex. The Smith cabinet is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: Roger (MacFarlane), a sassy, sarcastic and routinely inappropriate space alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-starved goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.

Special guests featured in Monday’s episode include Sarah Adina, Jon Daly, Paul W. Downs, Naomi Ekperigin, Reggie Lee, Lucy Lowe, Maggie Lowe, Matt McKenna, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Chris Parnell, June Diane Raphael, Andy Richter, Matt Rogers, David Shabtai, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Casey Wilson.

The episode was written by Nicole Shabtai and directed by Shawn Murray.

In the clip, Stan shows his nurturing, caring side, complete with good listening skills! Check it out:

Adult Swim will re-air the first half of Season 18 every Wednesday at 11 pm ET/PT and re-air new episodes nine days after they air on TBS.
