‘LAUNCH: HBCU Fellowship Program’ to offer select students from HBCUs a chance to participate in 8-week program of workshops, courses, and speaker series aimed at opening career path opportunities in the animation industry; applications now open through March 1, 2022.
HBCU 20x20, the world’s largest network for HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and Black jobseekers, is teaming up with DreamWorks for a new talent development initiative kicking off this spring, called LAUNCH: HBCU Fellowship Program.
The professional development program will identify 15 students from HBCUs to participate in an 8-week curriculum of various workshops, courses and speaker series that aims to open paths to a career in animation. Fellows will receive a stipend from the studio, build their professional networks, and have the opportunity to apply and interview for DreamWorks’ Internship Program or other open positions within the company.
The program is open to students and recent graduates of HBCUs. Applications are now being accepted through March 1, 2022. To apply or for additional information, click here.
