MPC Teases First VR Original, ‘Go Baby Go’

Full-length Virtual Reality experience created by director Rob Petrie and EP Tim Dillon to be released later this year.

MPC VR, the Virtual Reality arm of Academy Award-winning visual effects studio MPC (The Jungle BookThe MartianLife of Pi), has created its first content for MPC VR Originals. Titled Go Baby Go, the VR experience is staged in an alien galaxy sometime in the not too distant future and features an intergalactic rocket ship/1971 Dodge challenger hybrid. This is our ride as we discover new dimensions and seek our ultimate revenge.

Created by director Rob Petrie and EP Tim Dillon of MPC VR in collaboration with the studio's team of world-class digital artists, Go Baby Go is an entirely original piece of content. The full-length experience will be released later this year. Not surprisingly, MPC VR is using the process to innovate a range of new imaging techniques designed specifically for VR production.

Driving Go Baby Go is a soundtrack from Q Department, the New York audio studio that's made waves for its music and sound design for VR. And Dražen Bošnjak of the sound technology company Mach1™, created a 1980s-infused electro pop anthem for the piece.
