To see great uncensored 16mm prints of these films full of piss come to this festival.

The deadline is a week away to enter Cartoons On The Bay 2005 for the Pulcinella Awards 2005. The 9th International Festival on Television Animation welcomes new animated series, pilots, TV specials, short films, social and educational programs.

Take part in the Pulcinella Awards 2005 and send your programs by Feb. 15, 2005. Regulations and the entry form are available on the festival Website www.cartoonsbay.com and may be sent online.

U.K.’s Channel 4 Wants Your Favorite Cartoon Vote

The U.K.s Channel 4 plans to air a four-hour marathon rundown on the 100 favorite animated shows as voted for by the general public. 100 GREATEST CARTOONS will feature clips of the cartoons and interviews with the creators, celebrities and experts about their opinions of the list. Realizing the list of 105 nominated cartoons can't cater to everyone's tastes, voters will also be given voters the opportunity to list five other cartoons they feel ought to make it in this hall of fame.

Filmation's Archie Toons Coming to DVD

Harvey Comics is releasing Filmation's ARCHIE and SABRINA animated TV episodes on DVD, March 29, 2004. Each of the four videos in The Legacy Collection will contain four complete half hour TV cartoons. This collection consists of the following videos: ARCHIE'S CLASSIC CARTOONS, THE ARCHIE SHOW, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH and ARCHIE'S TV FUNNIES priced at $12.98 each. Harvey is offering a special -- all four for $44.98 plus a free Archie music CD. As part of its "Toons Gone Wild!" series, the Two Boots Pioneer Theatre will be screening vintage "golden age" cartoons that are rarely shown anywhere. Many have not been shown on TV since the 1950s and are unlikely to be ever be available on DVD. A special ToonTalk will follow immediately after each screening. At 8:00 pm, "Early 1930s 'Rubber Hose' Animation" will screen great cartoons from that brief period when toons were really wacky and featured characters with no perceivable skeletal structure who jived to the synchronized beat.
