Toy Story 2 Returns in Special Edition DVD

It's fitting that on the same day that TOY STORY 2 returns to DVD in a special edition collection (Dec. 27, 2005), TOY STORY is earmarked for preservation on the Library of Congress' National Film Registry 2005.

Like the previous 10th anniversary edition of TOY STORY, the TOY STORY 2 special edition (Walt Disney Home Ent., $29.99) is remastered at a higher bitrate for improved picture and sound and contains more bonus features not found on the indispensable ULTIMATE TOY BOX, including a further sneak peek at CARS; audio commentary by John Lasseter, Lee Unrich, Ash Brannon and Andrew Stanton; and invaluable behind-the-scenes production at Pixar: Designing Woody's Past, Making Woody's Roundup, Production Tour, Production Progression, Early Animation Tests, Special Effects and International Scene.

Other bonus features include:* Outtakes: More animated flubs and flusters from Woody, Buzz & co.* New "Making TOY STORY 2" featurette* Deleted Scenes: Earlier versions of classic moments, including "Crossing the Road" sequence* All New Design Gallery Slideshows: The evolution of characters, sets and color design compiled from hundreds of original art* Early Storyboards of "Woody's Nightmare" and "Jessie's Song" with multi-angle features
