‘Scavengers Reign’ Heads to Netflix After Cancellation at Max

While a second season has not yet been greenlit, the first season of the animated sci-fi series about the crew of a damaged interstellar freighter that gets stranded on a beautiful yet unforgiving alien planet will continue to stream on Max and begin streaming May 31 on Netflix.

The first season of the Annie Award-nominated animated series Scavengers Reign has relocated to Netflix after being cancelled at Max. A second season may be greenlit at its new home depending on its performance, according to Variety.

In the sci-fi series, the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter finds themselves stranded on a beautiful yet unforgiving alien planet. As the survivors struggle to locate their downed ship and missing crewmates, their new home reveals a hostile world allowed to thrive without human interference.

The voice cast includes Wunmi Mosaku (Azi), Bob Stephenson (Sam), Sunita Mani (Ursula), Ted Travelstead (Kamen), and Alia Shawkat (Levi).

Benjy Brooke serves as supervising director for Season 1, with Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Shannon Prynoski, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers for Titmouse. The show is co-executive produced by Sean Buckelew and James Merrill for Green Street Pictures and produced by Titmouse. Creators Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner also serve as executive producers.

All 12 episodes of Scavengers Reign Season 1 begin streaming May 31 on Netflix in the U.S., the U.K., Ireland and New Zealand. The season will also continue to stream on Max.
