First season of series based on the award-winning manga by Yumi Tamura to be released in Fall 2020.
Sentai has acquired home video rights to 7SEEDS, a post-apocalyptic anime series based on the award-winning manga of the same name by Yumi Tamura. The first season will be released in Fall 2020.
When Natsu opens her eyes, she is surrounded by ocean. The raging waves take her, together with strangers Arashi, Semimaru and Botan, to an island covered by a wild jungle inhabited by large plants, ferocious animals, and gigantic insects. As they struggle with the new natural enemies of their terrain, a woman claiming to be their guide tells them the shocking truth about the 7SEEDS plan involving cryogenically preserving young, healthy humans so that mankind can avoid extinction and survive global disaster. Natsu and the others are surprised to learn that they are the results of this project. Now, this hand-picked group of survivors must fight for their lives.
Produced by Studio Gonzo (Rosario+Vampire, Hellsing), 7SEEDS is directed by Yukio Takahashi (Dog & Scissors, LASTEXILE-Fam, The Silver, Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit and The Qwaser of Stigmata), with series composition from Toko Machida (Akame ga Kill!, Wake Up, Girls!, Chaika -The Coffin Princess). The voice cast features Nao Toyama (GATE, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, KAKURIYO -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits) as Natsu Iwashimizu; Jun Fukuyama (Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions, Maoyu ~ Archenemy & Hero, Assassination Classroom) as Arashi Aota; and Yoko Hikasa (No Game, No Life, BanG Dream! 2nd Season, K-ON!) as Hana Sugurono.
