Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee 2008

The Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee is a juried festival for short films under 30 minutes from across the U.S. and around the world. Its open division has subdivisions of animation, documentary, narrative, experimental and underground. The event includes screenings, seminars, jazz/blues and a BBQ. A new category for this year is work inspired by Jazz. Kansas City has a rich jazz heritage and it has always been a part of our festival. You can add to that heritage by creating and entering work - dramas, comedies, music videos, documentaries or experimental works -- inspired by jazz -- make them cool or hot, improvisational. The best films will be held in the archives of the American Jazz Museum and the Mutual Musicians Foundation in Kansas City.

There are multiple deadlines starting with Oct. 1. The final deadline is Dec. 1, 2005. For forms and guidelines visit its website www.kcjubilee.org or go to www.withoutabox.com.
