Webbers Take JibJab Look at Bush’s Second Term

Bounding off the success of its Internet election cartoon THIS LAND in the summer of 2004, JibJab Media Inc. just released another animation short, SECOND TERM, to coincide with the inauguration of president George W. Bush.

SECOND TERM has Bush in his cowboy duds singing "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain" and features the president, conservatives, liberals, Hollywood activists and world leaders duking it out for power and influence. He also vows to amend amend the Constitu-she-un while the historical document has scrawled across it in red crayon letters, No Gay Marriage.

JibJab and Sunnyvale-based Yahoo announced in December 2004 an online distribution agreement giving Yahoo the exclusive rights to distribute JibJab's two most recent animated videos. The first was a musical video for the holidays starring JibJab's GRUMPY SANTA, launched in December.

Brothers Gregg and Evan Spiridellis got worldwide attention for their political parody THIS LAND. Talkshow hosts plus TV and political writers have looked forward to showcasing their special brand of Flash-animated parodies such as GOOD TO BE IN DC! set to the classic American folk song DIXIE, takes aim at George Bush, John Kerry, Al Gore, Dan Rather, John Ashcroft and many more a dose of hilarity to the intense presidential election season.

Gregg and Evan Spiridellis launched their Website (www.JibJab.com) from a garage in Brooklyn in 1999. Since then they have built a worldwide following for their quirky and irreverent brand of humor, and moved their studio to Santa Monica, California. To pay the bills, the brothers produce advertising campaigns for media, entertainment and consumer product companies. They also publish children books and manufacture an original line of holiday toys distributed nationwide at Spencer Gifts and Urban Outfitters.

The studio's election parodies THIS LAND and GOOD TO BE IN DC! were seen more than 80 million times during the 2004 election.
