‘Pat the Dog’ and ‘Dogmatix and the Indomitables’ director bolsters Superprod Animation’s growing creative team.
Superprod Group has welcomed Charles Vaucelle into their ranks as creative director. This key addition comes on the heels of the company’s recent rapid growth which includes the founding of a new Art Development department.
After completing his studies at the European School of Image in Angoulême, Vaucelle joined Xilam, where he worked on productions such as Space Goof, Lucky Luke, and The Daltons. In 2015 he was tapped by Superprod to direct Season 1 of Pat the Dog, which sold in over 180 countries. Subsequently, he went on to direct the first animated TV series for Hatchett, based on the iconic comic property “Asterix,” Dogmatix and the Indomitables, for France Televisions, M6, Super RTL, and Cartoon Network.
"Creation and artistic excellence are at the heart of our studios,” noted Superprod Group co-founders Jérémie Fajner and Clément Calvet. “We are proud that a renowned talent of Charles' stature joins Superprod Animation and enriches us with his experiences, his creativity, and his everlasting passion for animation".
“I am very proud and honored to be entrusted with this strategic position by Clément and Jérémie,” added Vaucelle. “I eagerly anticipate working with each of my talented team members to develop exceptionally creative and ambitious projects".
