Spy Thriller ‘Argylle’ Gets New Featurette

From the twisted mind of ‘Kingsman’ and’ Kick-Ass’ creator Matthew Vaughn comes a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-circling romp hitting theaters February 2.

A new featurette has been released for the upcoming razor-witted and totally trippy spy thriller Argylle, from the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass).

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization. Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers.

The top-flight ensemble cast also features Henry Cavill (The Witcher), John Cena (Fast X), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Dua Lipa (Barbie), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson. Alfie is played by Chip, the real-life cat of supermodel Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer).

Argylle is directed and produced by Vaughn, from a screenplay by Jason Fuchs (I Still See You). Adam Bohling (Kingsman franchise), Fuchs, and David Reid (Kingsman franchise) also produce. Adam Fishbach, Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres, and Claudia Vaughn executive produce.

VFX are being created by BUF, Clear Angle Studios, FixFX, Halon Entertainment, Magic LAB, MPC, NVIZ, Outpost VFX, Rodeo FX, Territory Studios, TPO VFX, and VisualSkies LTD, with Geoffrey Niquet serving as visual effects supervisor for BUF and Mary Collard acting as visual effects production manager.

Apple Original Films presents, in association with MARV, a Cloudy production. Argylle is distributed by Universal Pictures.

Argylle hits theaters February 2.
