Science & Technology Digital Art Competition Issues Call

The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake and The SAIC Digital Arts Lab is hosting the 3rd Annual International Science & Technology Digital Art Competition. Science submission themes should reflect subjects related to the sciences, i.e., physics, biology, paleontology, astronomy, geology, etc. Technology submissions should reflect subjects related to engineering, i.e., structures, vehicles, computers, industrial design, etc. Animations should be submitted in .mov format, with a pixel size of 320 x 240, on disk or 1/2" NTSC videotape. Entry fees are US$10 per junior and student entry and US$20 per open entry. Up to three entries per person will be accepted. Awards in the Junior & Student Stills and Animations Section will be as follows: 1st Place Science or Technology -- $300; 2nd Place Science or Technology -- $100; and 3rd Place Science or Technology -- $50. Open Stills and Animations Awards will be: 1st Place Science or Technology -- $750; 2nd Place Science or Technology -- $500; and 3rd Place Science or Technology -- $250.
