NVIDIA Demonstrates Alignment With Microsoft at WinHEC

NVIDIA Corp. announced that it is a sponsor at WinHEC, Microsofts annual Windows Hardware Engineering Conference, from April 25-27, in Seattle, Washington.

"NVIDIA's participation in WinHEC is important to Microsoft because of the growing role of powerful graphics and 64-bit platforms to support key initiatives including 'Longhorn' and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition," said Brian Marr, senior product manager of Windows at Microsoft Corp. "We value our relationship with NVIDIA and look forward to continued collaboration."

Through its strategic relationship with Microsoft, NVIDIA is developing products that help provide a platform for the latest Microsoft technology including:

* "Longhorn": The NVIDIA GeForce 6 Series of graphics processing units (GPUs) is a key component for maximizing Longhorn's graphics-intensive, 3D user interface.* Windows XP Professional x64 Edition: NVIDIA 64-bit unified driver architecture and PureVideo technology give application developers the tools they need to create applications such as HD Video Editors and Digital Video Recorders that leverage 64-bit Windows technology.* Windows XP Media Center Edition: NVIDIA nForce media and communications processors (MCPs), GeForce 6 GPUs, NVTV PC Tuner Cards, PureVideo technology and system optimization software provide the foundation for OEMs and system builders to create silent high-definition Media Center PCs in unique form factors at compelling price points.

"NVIDIA and Microsoft are working closely together to drive innovation on the Windows platform and provide new functionality that enhances the overall customer experience," said Lew Wagman, strategic marketing manager at NVIDIA. "This positions NVIDIA technology as an integral part of Microsoft's key platforms, including 'Longhorn,' Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition and Windows XP Media Center PC Edition."

NVIDIA Corp. (www.nvidia.com) of Santa Clara, California, is a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors.
