Netflix’s Drops ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN’ Trailer and Key Art

The final battle to end the century-long, fateful confrontations between the Joestar family and DIO begins; based on the Japanese manga series by Hirohiko Araki, the series hits the streamer in December.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN, the hugely popular anime series based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, will premiere exclusively on Netflix this coming December. The debut date has not been released.

The series follows Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro Kujo, who is sent to the maximum-security correctional facility Green Dolphin Street Prison for a crime she didn’t commit. Her Joestar lineage has imbued her with a strong will and a tough spirit which she pairs with her own flexible sensitivity.

While in prison Jolyne’s path crosses with a mysterious cast of characters:

  • Ermes Costello - Though compassionate and cheerful, Joyne’s fellow inmate has clearly done time before. She does, however, share advice about life in prison with the uninitiated Jolyne.
  • F.F. - A mysterious inmate Jolyne meets inside the prison.
  • Emporio Alnino – Another mysterious character, this one wears a baseball cap. Somehow, he can move around the prison freely despite the tight security. He takes a cooperative attitude towards the new inmate Jolyne, but his goals and identity remain unclear.
  • Weather Forecast – This mysterious person stays in a secret room inside the prison. He is taciturn and expressionless but also cool-headed, possessing excellent judgment and insight.
  • Narciso Anastasia – The mysterious Anatasia stays in the secret room with Weather.
  • Jotaro Kujo - Jolyne's father who comes to her rescue after she is imprisoned on false charges. He is divorced from his wife (Jolyne's mother), and it has been many years since he and his daughter last met.
