Press Release from Sixty40

Sydney, 9 February 2011 – Sixty40 appoints Angus Chad to the role of Director alongside founders Mark Simpson and Matt Taylor.  Chad’s expertise across international broadcast design and packaging complement the teams existing talent pool, strengthening opportunities for both the company and their clients.

“The next step for Sixty40 is to go global, to continue to bring world-class techniques and top creative to our work. Chad represents our commitment to combine forces to realise this vision,” said Sixty40, Creative Director, Mark Simpson.

Chad brings more than thirteen years experience, working as an award winning Senior Designer and Graphic Designer nationally and internationally for creative agencies, television stations and post-production houses.  Prior to joining Sixty40 Chad was engaged by Bruce Dunlop & Associates in London creating dynamic, award winning campaigns for brands including ESPN Classic Sport UK, FX Channel UK and Setanta Sports UK.

Chad’s award credits include Gold, Promax Europe: Best Themed Campaign (2008); Gold, Promax Mumbai: Channel Branding (2009); Silver, Promax New York: Best Branded Block (2009); and nominations for Promax UK: Channel Branding (2009) and Design Week TV/Film/Video Graphics Channel Branding (2010).

Echoing this global ‘coming together’, founder, Matt Taylor recently returned from a Graphic Novels Residency at the Atlantic Centre for the Arts in Florida.  He was chosen from several hundred international applicants to develop his teen zombie love story and graphic novel “Too Dumb to Live, Too Cut to Die".  Based in a commune not unlike a James Bond Villain’s hangout, Taylor focused on developing his graphic cartoon/comic novel.  There were three fellow Aussies amongst the 24 artists: Matt Taylor, Pat Grant and Shariar Shadadb.  For further information visit http://brainaddict.sixty40.com/.
