Hornet’s Yves Geleyn Directs New NSPCC Ad

Hornet joins forces with Leo Burnett London creative team Liam & Alison for ‘Lucy and The Boy,’ the second spot produced for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s ‘Share Aware’ campaign.

Directed by Hornet’s Yves Geleyn, “Lucy and The Boy” — Hornet’s second video with Leo Burnett London creative team Liam & Alison for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) — has gone viral in the UK and is ramping up round two of the Share Aware campaign started earlier this year. The video tells the story of how social media can influence and affect children, and cautions about the risks of sharing personal information online.

The NSPCC campaign launch coincides with the announcement of Hornet’s new outpost in London, where Geleyn will be represented along with Hornet Directors Dan & Jason, Peter Sluszka, Julia Pott, Gabe Askew, Eran Hilleli, Parallel and David Luepschen.

Other notable work from Geleyn includes his 2013 Christmas spot for John Lewis entitled “The Bear and the Hare" which has garnered multiple awards and major industry recognition since its release. In 2014, he curated multi national art exhibition “Motion Factory, les ficelles du monde animé,” a showcase of tactile animation technology and traditional craft method for the famed digital arts and modern music centre La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. And just this past spring, Geleyn directed a chilling PSA for States United To Prevent Gun Violence emphasizing the importance of safe gun storage and prevention of child access to firearms.
