THE LION KING relinquished its two-week box office crown to settle in at third with $11.1 million. The re-released film has made $79.6 million in its 3-D release and when that is added to its original total the film has moved into the top ten highest grossing films of all time with $408.2 million.

Warner Bros.' CONTAGION coughed up an additional $5.04 million in ninth place. With vfx from Method Studios, the disease thriller has earned $64.7 million thus far.
Open Road Films' KILLER ELITE rounded out the top ten with $4.86 million. With vfx from Comen VFX, Dragon Digital Intermediate, Iloura and The Senate Visual Effects, the assassin flick has a cume of $17.4 million.
