Animazoo Shows Mocap Moves at Simulation Conference

Animazoo is demoing the GypsyGyro-18 motion capture system at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando Dec. 6-9, 2004 at the InterSenses booth, number 3234.

Animazoo, with more than 10 years experience in developing motion capture systems, has chosen InterSenses InertiaCube3 sensor technology for the GypsyGyro-18. The GypsyGyro-18 provides a completely wireless and accurate method of capturing human motion in environments that challenge other motion capture technologies.

The GypsyGyro-18 demonstrates a revolutionary concept in human motion capture for simulation, training and situational awareness applications, said Dean Wormell marketing manager for InterSense. Wireless, realtime and with a huge range, the system has great potential for meeting force-training requirements in the field.

InterSense, market leaders in miniaturized, inertial-based, precision motion tracking technology finds I/ITSEC an important show for technology, innovation, and training. The GypsyGyro-18 demonstrates this technology integrated into a final turnkey motion capture solution.

I/ITSEC promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, Academia and various Government agencies. Its aim is to improve training and education programs, to identify common training issues and develop multiservice programs.

InterSense Inc., a leader in precision motion tracking, utilizes patented, inertial-based technology to deliver fast, accurate, driftless motion tracking solutions. InterSenses technology is deployed in computer simulation & training systems to track the motion of personnel and weapons; and, in vehicle simulation systems to track head motion for 3D image feedback through head-mounted and large area immersive displays. InterSense offers both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and custom sensor technology for meeting the tracking requirements of systems integrators, contractors, and government agencies.
