Adness Licenses Kamen Rider To Bandai

Bandai America has been named as the master toy licensee covering all global territories outside of Asia for KAMEN RIDER DRAGON KNIGHT.

Produced by Adness Ent., KAMEN RIDER DRAGON KNIGHT is being adapted for the U.S. in HD with fast-paced action sequences and stunning CG special effects. The story follows the heroic adventures of teenager Kit Taylor, who discovers a mysterious deck of Advent Cards that grant him the power to transform into an ancient armored warrior called a Kamen Rider.

He joins a team of 12 other Riders, who along with their corresponding Advent Beasts, must battle the renegade warlord General Xaviax and his army in both the real world and an alternate reality called Ventara, or Mirror World.

KAMEN RIDER DRAGON KNIGHT is based on the original series, KAMEN RIDER RYUKI, which was produced by Toei Company and aired in Japan in 2002. KAMEN RIDER, written by Shotaro Ishinomori, is the most popular and successful live-action series for kids in Japan of all time. First introduced in Japan in 1971, it is still a top rated show after 37 years and counting. It has spawned an unprecedented number of television and theatrical sequels.

To bring this dynamic adventure to life, Bandai America will launch a comprehensive global toy line for the live-action franchise, debuting in late 2009. The line will include collectible action figures, vehicles and role-play lineup targeted at boys ages 6-11.

At Licensing International Expo 2008, Adness Ent. will be exhibiting at Booth # 4419.

The master toy license agreement with Bandai America follows confirmation from Adness Ent. that 4Kids Ent. will serve as the U.S. broadcast home for KAMEN RIDER DRAGON KNIGHT. 4Kids Ent. plans to air the series in the 2008-2009 television season.
