14 regional, sponsored and junior jury awards were handed out Friday evening for a number of exemplary animated shorts and feature films.
In an awards ceremony held at the Bonlieu this past Friday evening, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival announced their Special Prize winners for 2019. 14 awards for animated shorts and feature films were presented. Girl in the Hallway, by Valerie Barnhart, took home the Festivals Connextion - Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Award, while Cristal winner Mémorable, by Bruno Collet, took home the Junior Jury Award for a Short Film and Cristal winner Daughter, by Daria Kashcheeva, took home the Junior Jury Award for a Graduation Film.

Note that Annecy 2020 will take place June 15-20, 2020. As announced this week by the festival, animation from the African continent will be in the spotlight next year, in parallel with the Institut français’ Africa 2020 season.
