The Screenwriting Expo 4 Screenplay Competition is giving away $80,000 in cash and prizes. The Expo 3 Screenplay Competition is supported by the Writers Guild of America, west.
Grand Prize is almost $25,000 value $16,000 cash, a trip and lifetime pass to the Expo, access to hundreds of companies plus a whole lot more. This year the Expo has pacted with comicbook studio Dabel Brothers Pro to adapt one of the screenplays into a four-issue full-color comicbook miniseries as well as a graphic novel that will sell in stores all over the country. Writers Boot Camp is also giving away two $7500 Professional Memberships in L.A. or N.Y.C, which begin with the 22-month Think Tank.
Synopses for the top 20 winners have been requested by more than 200 more production companies, agencies, and managers. All scripts are entered into all categories. Discount deadline is June 16, 2005.
