Tractor Tom Plows Up Down Under Deals

Contender Entertainment Group (CEG) has secured both broadcast and master toy deals in Australia for its animated childrens classic, TRACTOR TOM.

The complete 52x11 series is scheduled to begin on Seven Network in the kids programming stream starting Nov. 6, 2004, with shows continuing into the new year, 2005.

CEG has also signed a deal with leading toy supplier Funtastic for the TRACTOR TOM master toy licence in Australia, with the first products due to launch in March 2005.

TRACTOR TOM is an engaging 3D CGI animated series for children 2-5. It follows the adventures of a bright red tractor called Tom as he helps his farmyard friends that live on Springhill Farm.

This deal is further testament to the international appeal of TRACTOR TOM amongst broadcasters, said CEG md Richard Bridgwood. We are delighted to have deals with both Australias leading commercial station, Seven Network, and with Funtastic, the largest childrens product distributor in Australia. With such strong partners we are confident our first wholly owned pre-school brand will see great success in this key market.

CEG (www.contenergroup.com) was founded by Bridgwood in 1995 and is one of the U.K.'s fastest growing media businesses. CEG operates in four divisions: Videos, Books, TV and Consumer Products. The company distributes material in four principal genres, comprising cult and classic TV, children's programming, nostalgia programming and celebrity-based general entertainment.
