TMNT Team Up With U.K. Marine Conservation Society

As part of the 25th anniversary activity for the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (TMNT) in the U.K., 4Kids Ent. International and The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) have struck a partnership in which the iconic superheroes will lend their weight to the MCS campaign to save endangered marine turtles in the waters around the U.K. A donation on behalf of TMNT has been made by 4Kids, to the charity, to help with the work it does to conserve marine wildlife. As part of the campaign, the TMNT will be present at the Society's Cool Seas Roadshow, which will tour schools throughout the UK during 2009.

The Marine Conservation Society recently celebrated its 25th anniversary as the U.K. charity protecting the marine environment and its wildlife. It tackles litter, pollution and other threats to endangered marine turtles, as well as promoting turtle conservation in the U.K. and around world. The MCS Cool Seas Roadshow visits primary schools all over the country, spreading the message about these endangered creatures and what we can all do to help.

This year the TMNT add their weight to the campaign. As sponsors of the Cool Seas Roadshow, they will act as champions of marine turtles and the issues they face. TMNT banners will adorn the road show backdrop, a TMNT-themed page will be added to the Cool Seas website and participating children will receive a Ninja Turtles postcard featuring a call to action. The TMNT costume characters will also be making a surprise appearance at selected schools as part of the campaign.
