TLC Ent.’s Kids 10 Commandments Gets Prime-Time Deal

TLC Ent. will premiere its latest five-part animated mini-series, THE KIDS' TEN COMMANDMENTS (K10C), on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Episode #1, THE NOT SO GOLDEN CALF, will debut in primetime on October 31, 2003 with the remaining episodes, THE REST IS YET TO COME, A LIFE AND SETH SITUATION, STOLEN JEWELS, STOLEN HEARTS and TOYING WITH THE TRUTH, airing the week of November 10.

As part of the agreement, TBN will provide substantial promotional support in advance of the series' debut, including numerous 30- and 60-second promotional spots, special appearances by key members of the K10C cast and crew in the weeks prior to the launch and editorial features on the series in the monthly TBN newsletter. The network will also have five runs of the series between November 2003 and April 2004, and will offer K10C DVDs and videos as one of the network's featured love gifts for pledges during its November Praise-A-Thon. The direct-to-video series was released in February 2003 through Tyndale House Publishers. The mini-series has garner several awards including 10 Telly Awards, 5 Film Advisory Board Awards of Excellence and a Gold Camera Award from the U.S. International Film Festival.

Rob Loos, co-founder and partner at TLC, said, "TBN caught the vision and impact of K10C instantly. We are excited to be working with Paul [Crouch, Jr. of Trinity Broadcasting Network] and his tremendous team to bring K10C to the millions of TBN television viewers nationwide."

Added Crouch, "K10C was right on target with this new project. It conveys principles that everyone should be exposed too and is done in a fast-paced and entertaining way. We see this as something to be shared by the whole family and not just a kid's series. TBN strives to bring our viewing audience the widest variety and best quality programming available, and we are thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of this new venture."
