Spanish Nuts Feature Going Multiplatform

Spain's animation house Perro Verde has announced it will simultaneous distribute in Spain its first animated feature, GOING NUTS, in theaters, online, DVD and TV on May 25, 2007, reports VARIETY.

Perro Verde will initially release the film in theaters in Madrid, Barcelona and the Canary Islands. Spanish movie VOD site Filmotech.com will handle the online distribution. The film will be available on DVD through the Perro Verde website and U.S.-based Breakthrough Distribution will handle DVD retail distribution. As for TV, Perro Verde is in talks to bring the film to air at midnight May 25, on on national, regional and digital terrestrial TV networks.

Produced by Manuel Cristobal and directed by Juanjo Ramirez, the horror/action film is set in a psychiatric asylum where all the patients are nuts, literally.

Spain's 6 Sales is handling international sales for the film.
