SGM Publishing Prepares To Launch Tutenstein Magazine

PorchLight Ent.s animated series Tutenstein will turn new pages in publishing history as the series about the kid pharaoh of yore catapulted into the present day finds new life as a new childrens magazine under the same name from Turkeys SGM Publishing. The monthly 40-page Tutenstein branded publication will be issued this September.

SGM Publishing is the sister company of the publishers of TOLGA ABI, (TOLGA BROTHER), the number one kids magazine throughout the region. Targeting readers 6-12, the first issue of TUTENSTEIN, printed in the Turkish language, will launch on magazine stands with 26,000 inaugural copies and will also be made available to subscribers. Targeting the 6-12 year-old readers, TUTENSTEIN airs on Jetix Kids throughout Turkey.

Tutenstein is a property and a brand that lends itself to educative and humorous reading material and SGM is the perfect publishing partner, said PorchLight coo/exec producer William Baumann. They are conscientious about content and entertainment values. This is indicative with its sister companys highly successful TOLGA ABI magazine and will be equally successful with Tutenstein.

Expanding on the TV series existing storylines, each issue will also include unique sections ranging from Luxor the Cat, which will offer special animal stories, to Cleo, a section dedicated to girl-related issues. The Tut section will provide fun and challenging activities, which will vary from character coloring sheets to thought-provoking puzzles. Additionally, there will be a TUTENSTEIN fan-based fun club, call and win promotions. Every issue will also include Tut-branded on-pack products.

Founded in January 2005, SGM Publishing is an independent publishing company focusing on the production and distribution of kids magazines. Following its success with TOLGA ABI, SGM has also licensed the regional publishing rights to Hasbros SINDY. SGM Publishings sister company is the co-owner of one the three top-selling kids magazines in Turkey for the past two years.
