The 3rd International Student Animation Festival of Ottawa (SAFO), to be held October 18-21, 2001, will present a panorama on gay animation. Any work with gay content or made by a gay artist may be submitted in VHS format only. All material must be received by May 1, 2001. The festival organizers will make the selection. This year, in addition to the Official Competition for all levels of students and the Best School Competition, SAFO will also present numerous panoramas showcasing work from animation schools around the world, plus the first ever teacher's symposium. During a 4-day conference, animation teachers from across the globe will discuss teaching strategies, the state of animation education and training, and what's in store for the future. Plus: retrospectives, workshops, a trade fair, parties and special guests!
