Norwich International Animation Festival is coming in from the cold. Following a period of underfunding, which forced the event to change to a biennial program, the festival is back. Now an annual event, the festival is changing its focus to the art of animation, and will present seminars, debates, retrospectives and specially-curated film programs including hybrid/cross-media and artists work - alongside the very best new films from around the world.
For an entry form, e-mail niaf@nsad.ac.uk and include your postal address if youd like a hard copy. The competition is free to enter, and is open to films of any length, from filmmakers in any country (we accept both PAL and NTSC VHS tapes and DVDs as viewing copies). This years submission deadline is June 24, 2005.
The event is also calling for entries for a special Open Illustration Competition a chance to design the lead image for this years festival, which will appear on all event publicity. The deadline for this competition is April 30, 2005. If you would like to enter your work to the Open Illustration Competition, please state on your e-mail.
