Jeff Nodelman, the award-winning director and animator responsible for founding and building Noodlesoup Prods. into a leading independent animation studio in New York City, has joined NYC-based The Creative Group as creative director in charge of animation. Nodelman is charged with the formation of an animation studio infrastructure to develop, produce and market original animated brands for television, film and DVD.
"Having already founded and run a successful animation studio from scratch here in New York, I think I bring an interesting set of experiences to the table here," said Nodelman. "Using what I have learned, combined with the wealth of talent here and the great reputation, as proved by Creative Group's stellar client roster, I am very excited at the opportunities that lay ahead. The Creative Group is at a crossroad moving from straight gun for hire into the IP world and have already seen amazing success."
In addition to overseeing original properties generated under the Creative Group umbrella, Nodelman will still into the pot his own expansive portfolio of original properties within the new division. Nodelman has several shows in various stages of development and production.

One of Nodlemans first projects will be as supervising producer for NATE THE GREAT, the companys first animated series for PBS. Slated for production in January 2006, Creative Group will produce 40 half-hour episodes of the animated series, with all the animation being handled in-house.
Also on the menu is an all-new SPEED RACER animated series for direct market distribution. The series is a Creative Group production in association with Art Asylum, the toy company that controls all rights to the famed franchise. The SPEED RACER series will be packaged together with Art Asylum-manufactured toys, as well as be available in some form online.
Nodelman's credits include supervising producer for THE VENTURE BROS. on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, animation supervisor for Miramax Films DUPLEX and MY BABY'S DADDY and creator/director of the award-winning short, THAT'S GOOD SOUP.
