1st Goyang International Childrens Film Festival (GICFF) is a new international film festival, which includes an international short film competition. The event hopes to screen more than 150 films. An International Children Jury and Adult Jury will give out two prizes each The Best Short Film (A Trophy with KRW 5,000,000 [around US$ 5,000]) and a Special Award (A Trophy with KRW 2,000,000 [around US$ 2,000]).
The festival is being organized by Goyang International Childrens Film Festival Organizing Committee and the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Gyeonggi-do, Goyang City, Korean Film Council, Korean Film Archive, The Motion Pictures Assn. of Korea, Korean Assn. of Film Art & Industry and Goyang Cultural Foundation.
