Fox Kids U.K. Goes 24

Fox Kids Europe is taking its U.K. channel round the clock starting Nov. 3, 2003, in one of the most competitive kids markets in the world. The channel had been broadcasting from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The kids net plans to tap into the young, early risers, as well as those adult fans keen to tune into the channels late night POWER RANGERS, classic 80s animation and Marvel programming.

The new 24-hour schedule will kick off at night with THE INCREDIBLE HULK, SPIDERMAN, X-MEN, FANTASTIC FOUR, POWER RANGERS, M.A.S.K, ULYSSES 31 and JAYCE AND THE WHEELED WARRIORS.

The programming coincides with a themed Heroes weekend on Fox Kids over the weekend of Nov. 22nd-23 and a major sponsorship deal with DreamWorks, in conjunction with the DVD and video release of its the animated feature film SINBAD in Europe. DreamWorks will sponsor a two-hour block of the Heroes programming, offering a vote to show SINBAD microsite.

Ian Finnegan, md of Fox Kids U.K. said, The extension of our broadcast hours will provide children and families with a much wider choice of television entertainment, as well as increasing our appeal amongst young adults with these cult shows.
