Film Roman To Produce Animation For The Man Show

Leading independent animation house Film Roman has signed a deal to provide animation for the upcoming season of THE MAN SHOW on Comedy Central. The North Hollywood-based company will create graphics, title cards and over 30 animated bumpers for the show. The 5-10 second bumpers feature THE MAN SHOW mascot, Uncle Phil in various "manly" situations like barbecuing and sleeping on the couch. "We have produced graphics and animation for THE MAN SHOW in past seasons, but being brought on as the exclusive provider of animation allows us to get more creative with the Uncle Phil character and help in developing his personality. The Man Show writers provide the hysterical scenarios and we bring them to life. It's all great fun and the fact that Uncle Phil's behavior is so inappropriate is what makes them so very funny," said Kathee Schneider, vice president creative affairs and executive producer of the commercials and special projects division of Film Roman. "Film Roman has always delivered on their commitment to providing quality animation for the show," said Daniel Kellison, executive producer of THE MAN SHOW. "We have been extremely pleased with their work in the past and look forward to building upon our relationship with this talented company." Schneider will direct and produce the animations. Tanya McClure, digital animation supervisor, and Catherine Goldschlager, director of creative services, will help Schneider oversee the project.
