Ellen's Acres Debuts on Cartoon Network

ELLEN'S ACRES, created by Animation Collective guru Larry Schwarz, debuted on, Jan. 8, 2007, at 9:30 am on Cartoon Network.

This brand new comedy series centers on five-year-old Ellen, her feather duster, her radial tire, the hotel her family owns and her amazing adventures. Emerald Acres Hotel, which is located nine miles outside of Tonopah, Nevada, doesn't offer much to do or many people to play with. Her only companions are her hard-working parents, the folks who work at the hotel and the guests. But Ellen's big imagination populates her world by imagining that the characters in her real world are characters in her imaginary one -- whether she's traveling in a sled across the Arctic or experiencing the ups and downs of being a movie star, Ellen continually shows there's no place that your imagination can't take you.

The series offers a style influenced by amine, retro graphics and illustrated children's books.

"ELLEN'S ACRES gives kids a mirror on life; they'll see their play reflected and understand how smart, funny and fearless they are," said Alice Cahn, vp of development and programming for Cartoon Network.

Schwarz, ceo of Animation Collective and creator/exec producer of ELLEN'S ACRES, said, "The playful, imaginative Ellen will be one of the funniest girls on TV, a Lucille Ball for younger viewers."

In one episode Ellen discovers a strange set of footprints behind the hotel and decides they could only have made by a dinosaur. After traveling across the Arctic and searching through a prehistoric jungle (in her imagination), Ellen finds what she's looking for in the form of Monsieur Delmas and his very hungry puppy.
