Edgar & Ellen TV Series & Specials to Debut on Nicktoons

Worldwide pranksters Edgar and Ellen are leaping from the pages of their Simon & Schuster book series to Nicktoons Network. Beginning this fall, EDGAR & ELLEN holiday specials will air on Nicktoons Network celebrating back to school, Halloween, Winter Holidays and Valentines Day. On April Fools Day, the EDGAR & ELLEN TV series will debut.

The half-hour TV series features a mix of animated segments varying in length, which allows the series to launching in new media venues as well. In addition, the TV series will include elements inspired by ideas from kids at www.edgarandellen.com. In fact, 10% of the content will be influenced by working with kids online, a first for networks across the globe. New animated content for www.edgarandellen.com will continue to evolve as online back-stories of the secondary characters are told.

This announcement comes on the heels of EDGAR & ELLEN TV deals with Nickelodeon UK and ABC TV Australia where the books are published by Simon & Schuster Childrens UK and Hachette Childrens Books Australia.

The TV series will track the not-so-ordinary lives of those mischievous twins, Edgar & Ellen, who stick out like sore thumbs in their sticky sweet town, Nods Limbs. The six TV specials will introduce new storytelling twists in the twins weird and whacky world.

EDGAR & ELLEN made their TV debut on the U.S. Nicktoons Network with 12 animated shorts, currently running everyday. They also celebrated Halloween as hosts of the Nicktoons Network Scare-A-Thon.

Star Farm Prods. creates entertainment for the new digital generation.

Nicktoons Network, the 24-hour animation network owned by Nickelodeon, features a wide variety of programming.
