DUCK Adds Vester to Director Bill

DUCK studio has announced the signing of award-winning artist, Paul Vester, to its roster of commercial directors. British-born Vester is an experimental animator whose short films have netted him many international prizes as well as a Guggenheim Fellowship. He is working on his new film, IN THE WOODS, a mix of 2D and 3D digital animation, which will be produced at DUCK.

"To be able to work with an artist of the caliber of Paul Vester is great for our entire studio. Were thrilled to have him aboard," said DUCK president, Roger Chouinard.

At his own studio, Speedy Films, Vester directed his first film, SUNBEAM, an homage to pre-Disney classic cel animation set to a popular song of the 1940s. Vester most recent film ABDUCTEES, was a blend of mixed media animation and live-action retelling stories of UFO alien abductions. Once he moved to the U.S. he started commercial work at Rhythm & Hues then he moved to Klasky Csupo, where he worked on the animated Earthlink campaign. His commercial work also includes spots for such companies as Toshiba, Hershey, Jell-O and Bubblicious.
