Dimension Films is developing THE MUMMY ARCHIVES, reports 24 FRAMES. The story will follow a group of young people who fall into an unseen world after receiving a mummy's curse.
Spanish filmmaker Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (THE KING OF THE HILL) is in talks to write and direct. GLADIATOR producer Douglas Wick came up with the idea and is also in talks to produce via his Red Wagon Ent.
The budget for the film is around $5 million.
