Connery's 'Sir Billi' to See UK Release

Kaleidoscope Entertainment announces the release of Scotland’s first full-length animated feature film, Sir Billi, voiced by Sean Connery, Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming.

Kaleidoscope Entertainment has announced Scotland’s first full-length CG animated feature, Sir Billi. In the film, directed By Sascha Hartmann, an ageing, skateboarding veterinarian Sir Billi goes above and beyond the call of duty fighting villainous policemen and powerful lairds in a battle to save the fugitive Bessie Boo the beaver.

Billed as a heart-warming and action packed family movie filled with thrilling car chases, heroic skydiving and daring stunts, the films features the octogenarian Sir Billi, voiced by Sean Connery, as the Guardian of the Highlands. Additional cast members include Alan Cumming (Spy Kids, The Smurfs 2, X-Men 2) Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter, Mulan) and Kieron Elliot (How to Train Your Dragon). With an original score by Oscar nominee Patrick Doyle, the film’s title track, performed by Dame Shirley Bassey, can be heard at www.sirbilli.com.

Sir Billi will release in the UK on September 13, 2013. The animated family feature is also being released in South Korea, Australia/New Zealand, Middle East and Turkey, with additional territories to be announced in the future.
