Classic Media Sings with Frosty, Swings with Kong

Classic Media is set to release a new animated Frosty the Snowman feature as well as the first two volumes of KING KONG: THE ANIMATED SERIES.

THE LEGEND OF FROSTY THE SNOWMAN DVD ($21.98) is an all-new animated comedy adventure based on the original 1969 television classic. Burt Reynolds narrates the movie and sings the popular title song. In addition, Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, also stars.

The direct-to-DVD, produced by Studio B, is set in Evergreen, a perfect little town where fun is against the rules. The flowers don't wilt without authorization, the sun begins to shine at 6:00 am on the dot, the snow has been plowed to regulation height. There's absolutely, positively no talk of nonsense, tooth fairies, magic or mischief. When Frosty blows into town, he's shocked to learn that the kids don't know how to ice skate, pack a snowball or even use a sled. Frosty teaches the kids to have fun in their winter wonderland, and in the process sets off a kid revolution. Then the evil, ambitious Principal Pankley steps in to take control. He culminates his plan by dethroning good-natured Mayor Tinkerton and making Evergreen more orderly than it ever was. Now it's up to Tinkerton's son Tommy to save his dad and the town from Pankley, with a little help from his new friend Frosty.
