Axl Rose has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Activision claiming the gaming publisher reneged on promises regarding the use of the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome to the Jungle" in GUITAR HERO III, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The suit claims that Activision went back on its promises to Rose that the likeness of former GNR guitarist Slash would not be featured in GUITAR HERO III. The likeness of the iconic rocker was not only featured in the game with music from his new band Velvet Revolver, but was also featured on the cover of the game.

Additionally, Rose alleges "Sweet Child O' Mine" was used in a Web ad for GUITAR HERO III when it was only licensed for GUITAR HERO II.
